History

Michael D. Neal established himself as a private forestry consultant in North Carolina in 1974.  His previous professional work included two years part time as a forestry consultant while stationed at McChord Air Force Base in Tacoma, Washington, and one and a half years as a procurement forester for Rogers-Ramsey Lumber Company in Ahoskie, North Carolina.  The firm, Michael D. Neal & Associates, was incorporated in 1978 with its office located in Colerain, North Carolina.  A second office was opened at 754 NC Hwy. 11 N, Ahoskie, North Carolina in November 2006.

Michael D. Neal & Associates, Inc. has an exceptional staff and resources and is well qualified to handle a wide variety of jobs.  We currently have a staff which includes eight foresters, three field technicians, and three support staff members. Four members of this staff are Real Estate Brokers. Three are State-Certified General Real Estate Appraisers and one member is an Appraiser Trainee.

The company has two offices at 754 NC Hwy. 11 N, Ahoskie, North Carolina and 1227 NC Highway 42 three miles west of Colerain, North Carolina.  The company has computerized record-keeping and inventory processing abilities which allow us to manage over 200,000 acres of land allowing us to conduct appraisals and sales of both land and timber.
